Linen Love.

Funky, bold colourful but also subtle floral pattern on soft linen is how I’d describe the Pondicherry fabric by Boom Shankar. At first impression I wasn’t sure how to style the set but all I knew was it made me happy. After trying on the wrap top and pants I knew it was simply vibrant, subtle and effortlessly delightful. It could be paired with your basic shoes, sandals or picking similar colours of accessories for a maximalist vibe. It really is a stand out fabric design made in such wearable styles for all climates.

Now I’ve got a confession.. These are my first linen items and I’m so excited to add fabrics to my wardrobe which are breathable and sensory conscious. I never felt sticky, static or heavy whilst wearing these items in 32 degree heat. I felt like I could disco during the day in them!

The outfit cut/fit is slightly out of my comfort zone with a low front V style and with the prominent use of grey. I was surprised to feel confident, secure and able to wear a bralette for a casual day vibe then a bra bra for the night scene. The colouring also allowed your eyes to see the coloured details and garment design/fit like the tulip sleeves. The whimsical nature of the piece inspired fun, happiness, even dancing and Seth knew it would look great as we found our way around the maze at Amaze miniature park.

We had so much fun looking around, we may have got lost but finally found our way out!

Review:

Pondicherry Wrap Top - size 12

Classic wrap top with such FUN sleeves, nice length wrap around string and nice V wrap section. Whilst I could have sized up for more coverage it feels almost perfect and event whilst dancing around I felt secure. Styling plans: adding a turtle neck singlet for a cooler climate. This is the only wrap top I own so it’s something new I am drawn to thanks to the Elton John vibe sleeves. The arm holes were also amazing and didn't cut me off in the pit - literally did the happy dance because this blouse was designed with real people in mind.

Pondicherry Pant - size 12

Perfect high waisted pant, enough room in the bum and waist for a comfortable fit. The waist has an elastic section in the back and an adjustable fabric belt. Again I could have sized up for more of an oversized casual pant feel I could squat & kick happily in these. I’m excited to wear these with graphic tees and blouses. They would be a perfect pattern pop. They are not see through. Wearing white pants always scares but these you could wear a mid/deep green and white without being too seen. These pants will be worn around the home office, whilst with clients and at the beach/surrounds as a cover up - making my bikinis into an outfit.
